Ashley Monroe hails from America and is a country-music singer/songwriter. After the release of two singles as well as an album titled Satisfied in 2007 she formed an ensemble called Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album titled Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager of the Village of Riverside Illinois and has over 15 years of experience working in the public sector, including more than five years of being an Deputy City Manager within Iowa City. The current Assistant Village Manager's tasks include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department, coordinating grants and completion of special projects. Ashley's role as Riverside's Assistant Village Manager is to support with the day-to-day operation of the village's services and carry out the strategy laid out by elected officials. Ashley's prior roles have included the budgeting and planning of government communications, the management of staff and collective negotiations. Ashley is also passionate about climate change. Because of her involvement with the national community and working in communities with populations ranging Ashley has gained insight on the many complexities and differences when it comes to the ways public agencies function. Ashley's courses focus on public leadership and management from the perspective that of an experienced professional. She focuses on ethics and strategic decision-making that adapts to today's challenges and opportunities and navigating the inter-governmental and community relations gives context to aspiring and working professionals within public sector organizations.
